Mr. Bilzi invited Senator Burr to New Hanover County Schools
while on a lobbying trip to Washington for the National School Board
Association Federal Relations Network. His acceptance was a landmark
day for the school system. It was a distinct honor to have received a
visit from a United States Senator. Here they are in Ashley High
School's foyer upon his arrival.
Governor Easley Appointed Mr. Bilzi to the state's "Business
Education Technology Alliance," a think tank created to put
North Carolinain the forefront of
technology utilization in the public sector.

Governor Hunt awarded Mr. Bilzi as
"Volunteer of the Year" in the school systems 3 times.
Congressman Bob Etheridge offers some sage advice to Steve.

Mr. Bilzi worked closely with
congressman McIntyre. Among
many projects was the $8 million
Federal Grant to the schools for
Safe Schools/Healthy Students.
